Tips

The toppings for this common Korean dinner are arranged neatly atop the rice, but feel free to mix everything up before digging in.
For a spicy chili hit, top with a spoonful of Korean-Style Chili Paste, or a drizzle of extra soy sauce and the Asian hot sauce of your choice.
Serve with Quick Kimchi-Style Sauerkraut, Quick Cucumber Kimchi, Korean-Style Bean Sprout Salad or Korean-Style Potato Salad.
You can find matchstick carrots in the produce aisle, or simply thinly slice or coarsely grate 1 large carrot.
For a vegetarian version, substitute cubes of firm tofu or plain Veggie Ground Round for the beef.
