Ingredients

- reduced sodium soy sauce
- 30 mL
- 1 tbsp
- apple juice or water
- 15 mL
- 2 tsp
- honey
- 10 mL
- 1 tsp
- finely grated fresh ginger
- 5 mL
- 1 clove
- garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp
- sesame oil
- 2 mL
- 1 pinch
- dried chili flakes

- New York striploin steaks (approx. 1?1/2 lb/750 g), trimmed and cut into 1-in./2.5 cm cubes

- wooden skewers, soaked in water for several hours or overnight
Directions
Step 1
At home, mix together soy sauce, apple juice or water, honey, ginger, garlic, sesame oil and chili flakes. Add steak, turn to coat and marinate 10 min. Thread meat onto skewers. Store in freezer bag. Freeze overnight.
Step 2
At campfire, place skewers over grill. Cook 4 to 5 min per side, to desired doneness.
